Last week, the U.S. National Science Foundation (NSF) announced that it will pause further removal or descoping of Ocean Observatories Initiative (OOI) infrastructure and begin planning for the redeployment of the Endurance Array in the Pacific. The OOIFB looks forward to working with NSF, the OOI, ocean observing community members, and other stakeholders to provide current and forward-looking community input to help identify a path forward for ocean observing systems.
