A joint meeting of the OOI Facility Board (OOIFB) and Data Systems Committee (DSC) will take place, virtually via Zoom, from 2-5pm ET on Monday, November 2, 2026. These meetings are open to the public, except where indicated on the meeting agenda.
This meeting aims to:
- Discuss/understand the current state of the Ocean Observatories Initiative (OOI) and potential impacts associated with reductions in funding as well as the May 2026 de-scoping (which was subsequently paused). Note: A graphic available on the OOI website illustrates the current operational status of Array components.
- Engage in constructive conversations about ocean observing successes, future opportunities and priorities, and other identified topics.
